The MJD trio performs dynamic original jazz compositions and exciting interpretations of jazz standards. Bassist Mark Urness, saxophonist José Encarnación, and drummer Dane Richeson are professors at Lawrence University. They combine their individual virtuosity to create a trio sound that is rooted in jazz tradition with a vision to the future.
